All Azure services are available to subscribers through the Azure interface. Customers can use these services to develop cloud-based resources like virtual computers and databases.
In addition to the features supplied by Microsoft through the Azure site, several third-party manufacturers make software directly available through Azure. The cost of a third-party application varies widely, however it may include a subscription price for the application and a use fee for the infrastructure required to host it.
Microsoft provides five different customer support options for Azure:
- Basic
- Developer
- Standard
- Professional Direct
- Premier
These customer assistance programs vary in scope and cost. Basic support is provided for free to all Azure accounts; however, Microsoft charges a fee for additional support choices. Developer support is $29 per month, Standard support is $100 per month, and Professional Direct help is $1000 per month. For Premier support, Microsoft does not give pricing information.
