Cloud Computing Training
The distribution of computing services through the internet rather than through local servers or personal devices is known as cloud computing. Computing services include servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics, and intelligence. These services are accessible over the internet and are transmitted outside of an organization's firewall. Because consumers pay on an as-needed or pay-per-use basis, cloud computing lowers operating costs and allows for effective expansion.
CHARACTERISTICS OF CLOUD COMPUTING All true cloud environments, according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), share five fundamental characteristics:
- Self-service on-demand: Cloud customers may quickly sign up for, pay for, and use cloud services without the help of a salesperson.
- Customers can use a large network, such as the internet, to access cloud services.
- When numerous types of consumers (individuals, companies, or departments within an organization) use the same servers, storage, or other computing resources, this is known as resource pooling.
- Rapid flexibility or expansion: As their demands change, cloud customers can simply scale up or down their resource use.
- Customers pay for the number of resources they use in a given period of time rather than purchasing hardware or software in advance. (It's worth noting that in a private cloud, this metered service frequently includes chargebacks, in which IT keeps track of how many resources different departments within an organization utilize.)
